about the

Community Garden and
Prairie Center

The United Prairie Foundation Community Garden and Prairie Center is a public garden and prairie plant center located in Enderlin North Dakota. The Foundation is a leader in practicing, promoting and implementing the use of locally sourced prairie plants in sustainable ways. Home gardeners can rely on the Foundation for eco-friendly gardening advice to create pollinator friendly gardens beneficial to the eco-system.

What we offer

The United Prairie Foundation Community Garden and Prairie Center is operated by a local group helping propagate native prairie plants grown from seed collected from area remnant native wild prairies. These plants will help you create backyard prairie habitat that help restore fragile populations of struggling Monarch Butterflies and countless other beneficial insects! The Foundation is North Dakota’s only Monarch Joint venture partner and operates the only dedicated native plant nursery in the area serving Fargo, Moorhead, Western Minnesota and Eastern North Dakota. Our prairie plants have evolved to the harsh conditions experienced in this area and will thrive in the rough northern plains environment.
